The Great Harvest: Why God Is Moving Among the Nations in This Hour

"Before the end comes, Jesus declared that "this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations, and then the end will come." We are witnessing the acceleration of that harvest."
Matthew 24:14 is a prophetic milestone marker: "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." This single verse tells us that the gospel's global completion is not merely the product of human missions strategy — it is a prophetic prerequisite for the return of the King.
What We Are Seeing
The statistics are staggering. Missiologists estimate that the global church is growing faster today than at any point in history. The majority world — Africa, Asia, Latin America — is experiencing explosive revival. Iran, one of the most closed nations on earth, is experiencing one of the greatest church growth movements ever recorded, with millions coming to faith largely through dreams and visions of Jesus.
China's underground church, despite intense persecution, has grown from 1 million believers in 1949 to an estimated 100 million today. The book of Revelation's vision of "a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, tribe, people, and language" (Revelation 7:9) is not a distant fantasy — it is being assembled right now.
The Role of Persecution
Paradoxically, the regions where persecution is most intense are often where the harvest is most abundant. This is the pattern of Acts — the more the early church was scattered by persecution, the more the gospel spread. God uses what the enemy intends as destruction as a sowing mechanism for His Kingdom.
"The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church." — Tertullian, 2nd century. This has never been more true than in our generation.
Your Part in the Harvest
Jesus said "The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest" (Matthew 9:37–38). The first assignment of every believer in this prophetic moment is to pray — to cry out for more laborers, to intercede for unreached peoples, to give, and to go where God directs. The harvest is not coming — it is already here. Will you pick up your sickle?
